Jay Leno is passionate car collector, with over 170 cars in his garage. He has almost everything, from oldsmobile, unique cars, to modern day road beasts. Just to keep his garage manager busy (Bernard Juchli), Leno enjoys restoring cars by himself.  Some of his oldsmobile took a role in a controversial video game L.A. Noire. The game creators replicated cars needed for ingame engine as 3D models.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, ultimate supercar. As Jay already mentioned once, this is one of his most favorite car in his vast fleet. Equipped with 5.4 litre V8 supercharged engine and half million price tag, what’s not to love about it?

In spite of the fact that car weights 1.7 tons, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is one of the fastest production car ever built.

SLR – which stands for “Sport Light Racing” (Sport Leicht Rennen) first time introduced back in 1955. for racing car Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, which was by the way inspiration for present day car. Jay’s garage already hosts something similar, the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupé, fastest production car of that era, so it is just a matter of time when he will put his hands on original 1955. racing car (which is not bad at all, since he treats cars like own children).

Astonishing fact is that factory never reached goal for Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren sales of 3500 cars in production lifetime cycle. With just 1400 units in total, finally, in 2009. production halted.
